Roads Less Traveled
There have been many times in my life where I was presented with opportunities that I had to decide to either take or turn down, and how I decided has affected me and how my life turned out today. Some of these opportunities would be sticking with basketball, playing hockey for the school, and taking easier classes. I played basketball for my middle school in 7th and 8th grade, and before that for Shepard Naz for 6 years, if I stuck with basketball I could have possibly kept playing for high school and possibly went on to college, but in my opinion I would not have enjoyed that. I was starting to not like playing basketball as much, the coaches make it seem like it's life or death, but I just liked to play for fun although I was competitive most of the time. I also used to play hockey for a league and I was given the opportunity to go to a high school practice before I was in high school but I ended up not following through because I didn't feel it was right for me, I have a lot of other hobbies now and I don't regret my decision. Finally, I have had the opportunity to take easier classes because I am a higher math than I should be, a higher science as well usually. I could have just gone with the easy classes and gotten easy A's but I decided to challenge myself and it has turned out good!
